Man impregnates and murders his 14-year-old daughter in Ekiti

Residents of Emure in Emure Local Government Area of Ekiti State, are still in shock over the dastardly act of a 50-year-old man and native of the town from Ile onisa quarters, and simply identified as Williams who allegedly impregnated his 14-year old daughter (names withheld), and subsequently murdered her to cover up his crime.

Edo ElectionPDP tells members to resist arrest


The PDP in Edo state alleged that they uncovered plots by Governor Adams Oshiomhole to use policemen attached to him to intimidate its members.


The party also called on the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to call his men to order, so there would be no breakdown of law and order.
The Edo PDP also said its members should not be blamed if there is a breakdown of peace, as a result of intimidation.

Lagos Police arrests house guard who killed his employer in Ajah

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Tanko Abdulateef, a 22-year old House guard who allegedly killed his employer, Mrs Mabel Mba Okafor in Ajah area of the State on August 17, 2016. The suspect, who was arrested from his hiding in Bali, Taraba State, was said to have stabbed the victim in the stomach and left her stomach ripped open.

A Florida woman, Carmen Chamblee, 19, has been arrested and charged with second degree arson for setting fire to a car she thought belonged to her ex boyfriend. Turns she set ablaze the wrong car.

Adamawa state gov donates N5m to sick man whose kidneys were removed by a doc who thought they were tumors

Adamawa state governor, Bindow Jibrilla, has donated N5 million towards the kidney transplant operation of Isa Hamma, whose kidneys were removed by a quack doctor at a Hospital in Yola. The doctor thought the kidneys were tumors and so he removed them. Isa has since the operation being on Dialysis.

Third case of polio recorded in Nigeria

Three weeks after two fresh cases of Polio disease was recorded in Borno state, another case has been recorded in Munguno, still in Borno state. According to the World Health Organization, a crippled toddler has tested positive to the polio virus.

The agency says activities of Boko Haram members have hampered the effective immunization of children in the North East region.
