Three Day Mourning For Mandela Ends In Nigeria

The three-day mourning period declared by the Nigerian government in honour of late Nelson Mandela has come to an end with a memorial service held at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa Chapel in Abuja.
At the service, President Jonathan described the former South African leader as a rare character who all politicians must learn from and do more to better the lots of their country.
The President stressed that Nigerian politicians clearly lack the qualities that distinguished the late anti-apartheid hero with their quick call for disintegration and provocative remarks.
President Jonathan had declared a three-day mourning period in honour of the late icon and had requested that all national flags be flown at half-mast.
Nelson Mandela died on Thursday, December 5. His burial ceremony has been fixed for December 15
