Six Councillors in Lapai local government council of Niger state have been suspended by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committee in the state.
Those suspended are Mr Abdullahi Liman representing Arewa/Yamma ward, Mr Gimba Sulaiman elected to represent Duma/ Zago ward as well as Mr Abdullahi Wakili for Muye /Egba ward.
Others are Mr Yussuf Ibrahim representing Gabas/Kudu ward, Mr Danladi Usman for Gupa/Abugi ward and Saidu Ibrahim representing Evuti /Kpada ward.
A statement by the acting Secretary of the party in the state, Mr Hassan Mohammed Saba did not give any reason for the suspension of the Councillors but noted that the state working commitee has approved the action.
