House  Minority leader, Femi Gbajabiamila,   has said  that unless the federal government calls  the police to order in what is perceived as its brigandage in the political crisis engulfing Rivers State and halt the orchestration of impunity across the country, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the House of Representatives were  contemplating a total shutdown of government to press home the point of checking what the party considers as excesses of the executive arm of government.

This was the position of the House minority leader  Friday following the outcome of the APC 8th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting which resolved that if the federal government did not halt the regime of impunity in Rivers, it would  instruct its members in the National Assembly to block all executive bills, including the 2014 Appropriation Bill, approval of the appointment of service chiefs and other matters brought before it for consideration.
