Sokoto market on fire

Property and goods worth hundreds of millions of naira were gutted by fire at the popular Kara market in the Sokoto metropolis.
THISDAY checks Wednesday, revealed that the inferno which started at
around midnight Tuesday, was caused by an electrical spark at a shop
opposite the adjoining Kofar-Kade gate when PHCN restored light in the
area.
THISDAY learnt that the items being sold at the market such as
fertilizers, wheat offals, kola-nuts, generators, generator parts,
onions and assorted grains like rice, beans, among others were gutted by
fire.
