Governor Rewards Police Officer With House, N1million

The Governor of Ebonyi state, Martin Elechi, has rewarded a Police Corporal from Nasarawa state with a brand new house and N1million for intercepting a robbery attempt on a bank in 2009 while serving as a police officer in Ebonyi state.
Mr Elechi, who was in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital to hand over a three bedroom flat constructed by the Ebonyi state government to the corporal, stated that this was done in appreciation of the officer’s exceptional commitment to duty.
The Governor also donated 1,000 bags of rice to widows of the security operatives who were killed in Alakyo community in Nasarawa state
