Say what?! 9-year-old student arrested for bringing loaded gun onto school bus
School bus driver Debra Dryden spotted the gun and the suspicious-acting student on her bus and contacted her dispatcher, who alerted authorities.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s spokesman Larry McKinnon told the Times that the 35-odd students on the bus were unloaded while the boy in question was kept on.
He initially denied having the gun.
According to First Coast News, the boy’s parents were alerted and he was taken to the Hillsborough County Juvenile Center for booking. However, no charges have been filed against the boy.
Parents of children at the school were alerted of the incident.
